The third title in the Prince of Persia series' 128bit generation revival, The Two Thrones offers action gamers a chance to play two different personifications of the noble young Babylonian. In the role of the good Prince, familiar from recent adventures, players will use agility, speed, and cunning to outfight and outwit enemies across the expansive, freely roamed city. Through the great struggles he has faced, however, a more vicious, unforgiving side of the Prince has developed from deep within his psyche, and it may no longer be contained. Players will also control this "Dark Prince," a bitter warrior of deadly efficiency, with a completely different set of fighting moves and abilities. <br><br>Set after the events of Warrior Within, the game begins as the Prince returns home from his trying ordeal on the Island of Time, accompanied by his love, Kaileena. When the two arrive in their homeland they find it in turmoil, devastated by an ongoing war. The kingdom no longer looks to the Prince as its ruler. To the contrary, the people of the land now consider him a criminal, and arrest him almost immediately. In a last desperate act to save her betrothed, Kaileena sacrifices herself to release the mystical powers of the Sands of Time, allowing the Prince to use their magic to escape his captors, but also unleashing his vengeful Dark side.Product Identifiers

A must play for the newer generation!
Didn't play this game when it first came out. Was too busy. Wish I had, for the series is compelling and fun. Stopping time and rewinding is something I wish I could have done in so many other games. A classic series for the gamecube!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (GameCube)
The GameCube quality isn't as good as the PC or later versions of this game. Actually, at times I felt the quality was less than the quality of the first two "Prince of Persia" games on GameCube. An example would be the speedkill: while on regular bad guys it's visible, sometimes on bosses it's not visible the first time; I had to rewind time after failing and then on the second time I'd see the flashes to speedkill where as the first time I couldn't see it all. I did like that you didn't have to save the game when drinking water but hated the fact, especially toward the end, after a long while you couldn't save the game. Such as the second Chariot Battle, which is arduous and long running then at the end no saving but fighting a boss THEN after defeating them, you could save. Or the ending where you fight the main boss but then you think it's over but it's not but then you can't save. But overall the game was a good game. Shorter than the second but not really as fun as the first (in the GameCube series).Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great game
This was a fun and challenging 2nd installment in the PoP series. It was one of the most challenging games I’ve ever played! I love the PoP story. One thing of note, since I am a mom - this game is not suitable for kids under 14. The women are not well clothed and there are some swear words, plus, even though you are fighting mythological creatures, it is quite visually violent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
